Ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time and have a ride on a steam train. Well the Garden Route provides just that with the Outeniqua Choo Choo. It is a historical train pulled by a steam engine.

The journey is a definite day trip for the enthusiast photographer or even those with a family (the kids will come up close with the real Thomas the Tank Engine.) The trip is literally breathtaking passing through beautiful landscapes with fern-covered mountain tops, swamps, lagoons, never-ending beaches with a beautiful view of the ocean.
